Fire Detection and Alarm Systems

Fire alarm systems have been around since 1852 designed to detect and warn people that a smoke or fire is present in the area. The fire alarm panel receives and transmits information to and from the other devices.

1. Conventional Fire Alarm

In a conventional system there are one or more initiating circuits, connected to sensors or otherwise called initiating devices. These sensors are devised to decrease the circuits resistance when the environmental influence on any sensor exceeds a predetermined threshold.

In conventional system it is hard tell which device specifically has been activated within the circuit. The fire may be in one small room, but as far as emergency responders can tell, a fire could exist anywhere within a “zone”. Which is why a more appropriate use of conventional systems would therefore be in smaller sites such as small schools, stores, restaurants and apartments. Cherytech manufactures system components and can offer a wide rangeof local and internationl brands.

2. Addressable Fire Alarm

Addressable fire alarm systems are designed for flexibility through custom programming specific for each application. Dedicated outputs are logically controlled by inputs based on the programming matrix written. They are capable of supporting multiple signal line circuits (SLC) where each device on the SLC is assigned a unique identification called an address. In most cases the number of devices on the SLC can range from one to several hundred and vary in number of detectors and modules combined. Each device constantly communicates with the control panel through microprocessor technology to report its status to the SLC. Within seconds, alarms, supervisory and trouble conditions are alerted to the control panel and a precise location of the event is displayed.

Cherytech offers a hand picked basket of world renowned brands that are known for their excellence in technology, innovation and consequential scientific superiority. We offer you the best of brands like: ADVANCED, HOCHIKI, NOHMI BOSAI, HONEYWELL, SIMPLEX and UTC.

3. Linear Heat Detection

Linear heat detection is a versatile and economical fire detection product for specific application to special hazards. The cable is very well suited for harsh environmental conditions where there is a requirement to cost effectively install fire detection in close proximity of the hazard itself.

The cable is a combination of advanced polymer and digital technologies that can detect heat conditions anywhere along the length of the cable. The cable is comprised of two tri-metallic conductors individually insulated with a heat sensitive polymer outer layer and engineered to break down at specific pre-determined temperatures. This allows the twisted conductors to make contact and initiate a fire alarm condition at the control panel without any calibration for changes in the ambient temperature.

4. Aspiration Fire Detection

Aspirating smoke detection techonolgy offers the earliest possible warning of a potential fire. A system that will ensure business continuity and freedom from nuisance alarms. A system that can adapt to the unique characteristic of any given environment.

Aspiration smoke detection works by continuously drawing air into the distributed pipe network via a highly efficient aspirator. The air sample then passes through a dual stage filter: the first stage removes dust and dirt from the air sample before it enters the laser detection chamber. The second, ultra-fine stage provides an additional clean – air supply to keep the detectors optical surfaces free from contamination, ensuring stable calibration and long detector life as well as minimizing nuisance alarms.

From the filter, the air sample goes through the calibrated detection chamber where it is exposed to a laser light source. When smoke is present, light is scattered within the detection chamber and is instantly identified by the highly sensitive receiver system. The signal is then processed and presented via a bar-graph display, alarm threshold indicators and/or graphic display. Aspiration detectors are able to communicate this information to a fire alarm control panel, a software management system, or a building management system via relays or a High Level panel, a software management system, or a building management system via relays or a High level Interface.

Applications : Telecommunications, computer rooms, Atriums, Auditoriums, ware houses, hospitals, clean rooms, power stations, museums etc.
